Directions

SCALE & MIX

Scale and mix Westco Richblend Cake Donut Mix according to the instructions on the bag for a small batch. Use your scale to weight all the ingredients, including the water. Use your thermometer to determine the proper water temperature to achieve a dough temperature of 72°F. Let the batter rest for 15 minutes.

FRY

Fry at 375°F for 55-60 seconds per side in BakeSense Palm Fry Shortening. Drain the donuts for 60 seconds. Let the donuts completely cool down.

FINISH

  • Heat some Westco Vanilla Dipping Icing to 105-110°F. Divide the icing into 4 bowls. Use liquid gel colors to make green, orange, purple and black icing. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the heated colored icings.
  • Mix multiple colors of Sprinkelina Sprinkles to create your choice of Halloween sprinkle mix. Garnish the donuts with sprinkles before the icing sets.
Use a thin sharp stick or a wooden skewer to gently punch a hole into each donut where the lollipop stick will be inserted. Puncture the donut about ¾ through (past the hole). Insert a lollipop stick into each donut.
