Instructions

SCALE & MIX

Scale and mix Westco Richblend Cake Donut Mix according to the instructions on the bag for a small batch. Use your scale to weight all the ingredients, including the water. Use your thermometer to determine the proper water temperature to achieve a dough temperature of 72°F. Let the batter rest for 15 minutes.

FRY

Fry at 375°F for 55-60 seconds per side in BakeSense Palm Fry Shortening. Drain the donuts for 60 seconds. Let the donuts completely cool down.

FINISH

Heat some Westco Vanilla Dipping Icing to 105-110°F. Divide the icing into 4 bowls. Use liquid gel colors to make green, orange, purple and black icing. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the heated colored icings.

Mix multiple colors of Sprinkelina Sprinkles to create your choice of Halloween sprinkle mix. Garnish the donuts with sprinkles before the icing sets.
Use a thin sharp stick or a wooden skewer to gently punch a hole into each donut where the lollipop stick will be inserted. Puncture the donut about ¾ through (past the hole). Insert a lollipop stick into each donut.
