Chocolate Pecan Cupcakes

Instructions

MIX

Batter: Follow directions provided on the bag of Westco Extra Rich Devil’s Food Cake Mix for a small batch.

Pecan Filling: Combine 5 lb Trigal Dorado Dulce de Leche Repostero and 8 oz chopped pecans.

MAKE UP

Deposit 2 oz. of batter into paper lined cupcake tins.

BAKE

Bake at 325-360°F for 15-20 minutes. Let the cupcakes cool down.

FINISH

After the cupcakes have cooled down, use a piping bag with a large round tip to pipe 1 oz. of the prepared pecan filling* inside each cupcake.

*Note: if the filling is too stiff to pipe, warm it up slightly in the microwave before filling in the piping bag.

Pipe Westco Cream Cheese Icing on the top of each cupcake making sure to cover the hole made when adding the filling.Sprinkle chopped pecans on the top of the Westco Cream Cheese Icing. Garnish each cupcake with a pecan half.
